How to Bypass Microsoft Account Requirements in Windows 11

This guide provides simple instructions for bypassing the Microsoft account requirement during Windows 11 installation.

When to Use These Methods

Press Shift + F10 during the Windows 11 setup when you reach the screen asking you to connect to a network or sign in with a Microsoft account. This will open Command Prompt.

Method 1: OOBE\BYPASSNRO

OOBE\BYPASSNRO

This command executes %systemroot%\System32\oobe\BypassNRO.cmd and forces Windows to restart the setup process. After restart, you'll see an "I don't have internet" option, allowing you to create a local account.

Method 2: ms-cxh:localonly

start ms-cxh:localonly

Alternatively, you can use cmd /c start ms-cxh:localonly. This command opens a Windows 10-style account creation window that lets you create a local user account without Microsoft account integration, even when connected to the internet.
